Performance emerges as a persistent language, able to voice the unspeakable and summon presences through radical, sensitive means. In it, the body becomes conduit and protest, ritual and reconnection. The responses it evokes are immediate: emotional, unsettling, uncontrollable. It weaves together creation and history, especially that of women in Brazil and in the art produced within its borders. It is an ancestral revision that reclaims the humanity stripped from Afro-diasporic communities — a humanity once denied.
